Our office is in Flat No. 03 at M No. 132/18 in Malkapur, right here in Karad. It is a quiet enough spot in Satara, though the traffic on the main road can get a bit much during the market hours. We spend a lot of our time sitting around the table looking at drawings and talking to the workers who come in from different sites. The building we are in is quite familiar to everyone in the neighborhood. We’ve had this space for a bit, and it’s become a second home for most of us. Most mornings start with someone bringing in tea and then we just get to work on whatever project is currently on the desk. Building things in Maharashtra means dealing with the monsoon rains, which always slows everything down, but we just wait it out and keep going when the sun comes back. Karad is a nice place to work because you know a lot of the people who walk past the office. We don't really do the big corporate meetings or anything fancy like that. Usually, it’s just a couple of us discussing how to get the next load of materials delivered to the site on time. It is a lot of phone calls and checking on things that were supposed to happen yesterday. It is honest work and we just try to stay on top of the local building rules.
