Ganesh Steel Works

Ganesh Steel Works is out in Patan, in the Satara district. We are at Plot No. 2153. It is easy to find if you are near the Bank Of Maharashtra, which is the main thing people look for around here. Working with steel is loud and messy, so our place is very much a workshop. There is always the sound of cutting or welding going on throughout the day. We deal with a lot of metal pieces, making things that people need for their houses or local projects. It gets dusty and hot, especially when the sun is hitting the roof, but we are used to it by now. The area is a bit more open than the big cities, which is nice. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and joining parts. It’s honest work and keeps us on our feet. People from the village and nearby areas come to us when they need something sturdy made. We don’t have a fancy showroom; it’s just the workshop where all the tools are kept. Sometimes it’s hard to hear over the machines, so we have to shout a bit to talk. We take our time with the jobs to make sure they are done right. It’s just how we operate here in Patan. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the routine doesn't change much, which is fine by us. It's just a regular metal shop.
