Banshankari Steel Center

Banshankari Steel Center is right in Ubhi Peth, just across the way from the Jain Mandir in Vita. Being in the Tal-Khanapur area means we see a lot of local faces every day. We mostly sell steel rods and different metal pieces that folks need for construction. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack everything. It can get a bit cramped when a new load arrives and we are trying to find space on the floor. Most of the time, I'm just sitting on a stool near the front, waiting for customers or helping someone load their trailer. The noise from the street is constant, especially with the temple nearby and people going about their business in Ubhi Peth. It is a lot of heavy lifting, and my back usually feels it by the end of the day. We don't really do any big advertising or anything. People just know we are here because we've been in this spot for a long time. It is a family-run kind of thing, so there is usually someone around to help out if things get busy. We handle the orders as they come, whether it's a few pieces for a gate or a whole truckload for a bigger site. It is just steady, hard work in the heart of Vita. We keep the shop open late most days just to finish up the paperwork.
