Shivgarjana Farmers Producer Company

We started Shivgarjana Farmers Producer Company here in Virgaon near Satana because farming is what we know. It’s hard work on the land every day. Rambhau Gangurde let us use his place at Survey No 664 to get things organized. Mostly, we just wanted a way to handle our crops better without getting lost in the shuffle of the big markets. There are a lot of us around Baglan who grow the same things, and it felt right to work as one group. The weather isn't always on our side, you know? Sometimes it rains too much, other times the sun just burns everything up. We spend our mornings out in the fields and then meet up later to talk about what needs doing. It’s not fancy. We don't have a big office with glass doors or anything like that. Just a spot where we can sit down and figure out how to get our produce to people who need it. My hands are usually stained with dirt when I’m writing stuff down. We take things one day at a time. If the seeds take, we’re happy. When the prices stay steady, it makes things a lot easier for us. That’s pretty much how it goes for us here. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just making sure our families can keep going and the land stays healthy for the next lot of kids who want to farm. It’s simple work, really. It takes a lot of patience.
