Dev Mamledar Yashwantrao Maharaj Farmers Producer Company Limited has a long name, but we are just a small group of farmers in Satana. We are based out of Mitra Nagar, specifically at 7/455. It’s right here in the Baglan taluka. We aren't some big city firm. Most of us have spent our whole lives in Satana, working the ground and hoping for rain. We put this company together because it’s easier to get things done as a group than by yourself. We don't have a fancy board of directors or anything like that. It’s just neighbors coming together at Mitra Nagar to talk about the harvest. We try to keep our paperwork in order at the Satana office, but we’d much rather be outside. The address 7/455 is where we keep our records and meet up when we need to make decisions. It’s a plain place, nothing special to look at. We use everyday English and talk about everyday problems like pests and prices. We don't have a PR person to write nice things about us. We’re just honest people trying to make the most of what we have. If you’re in Baglan, you probably know how the farming life is. We’re just trying to make it work for our small community. It’s practical, sometimes difficult, but it’s what we know. We aren't out to impress anybody. We just want to get through the season.
