Maa Sheetla Agro Chakki India Privatelimited is tucked away in Omnkar Nagar, Sictour. We’re located at Ajay Kumar Jaiswal’s place, right off Nautanwa Road near the Maniram post office. It’s a bit of a long address, but it’s home to us and we’ve been here for a long time. We run a chakki, so there is usually the steady sound of grinding machines in the background most of the day. It’s noisy and a bit dusty, but we don't mind it anymore. We know most of the people who come through the door because they’ve been coming here for years. We don't have any polished brochures or corporate talk to give people. We just weigh the grain, do the grinding, and chat with whoever is waiting in line. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the whole afternoon with a wrench in hand, covered in grease and dust. That’s just part of the daily job when you run a mill. We try to keep the place tidy, but it's a working mill, so there’s always a bit of flour on the floor and on our clothes. We aren't trying to change the world or anything; we’re just trying to provide a basic service that people in the neighborhood need. It’s practical, honest work. We show up, we work hard, and we go home to our families. That is how it has always been for us.
