Shree Bhagwati Rice Mills

Down on Mandvi Road, you will find Shree Bhagwati Rice Mills. We have been processing rice here for quite a long time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, where everyone knows what their job is without being told much. The mill is a busy place, especially after the harvest season when the trucks start lining up outside early in the morning. The sound of the hulling machines is something we’ve all grown used to, though it can be a bit much for people just passing by the gate. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. We just have a small desk near the front where we keep the books and take the orders. The rest of the space is for the rice and the machinery. Mandvi Road is a good spot for us, even if it gets a bit muddy when it rains. We spend a lot of time making sure the rice is dried properly and the quality is okay before it goes into the heavy bags. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill in the country or anything fancy. We just want to do a good job for the farmers and the people who buy from us. It is a lot of physical labor, moving heavy bags and keeping the equipment greased. We don’t use any fancy talk or have big plans. We just take it one day at a time and keep the mill running.
