Saggu Combine

We are located on College Road in Sunam. Saggu Combine is a place where we deal with harvesting machinery. You can’t miss us because there’s usually a combine or two parked out front. These machines are huge and take up a lot of space. We spend our time fixing them up or getting them ready for the season. It’s a messy job, lots of grease and heavy parts. I started helping out here when I was a kid. Now I’m the one running things. The shop is filled with tools and spare parts scattered on the benches. It looks like a mess to an outsider, but I know where everything is. Farmers from all over Sunam come to us when their equipment breaks down in the middle of a field. We know how much pressure they are under, so we try to work fast. It’s not a corporate environment. We wear work clothes that are stained with oil. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the latest models or how the old ones are holding up. It’s a practical business. We don’t have a receptionist. If you want to talk, you just walk in and find someone with a wrench in their hand. That’s just how we do things on College Road.
