Chilled Iron Rams (Shri Dashmesh Castings)

We’ve been operating out of unit A-4 in the Industrial Estate for quite a while now. The name on the gate says Shri Dashmesh Castings, though most people know us for the chilled iron rams we produce. It’s a heavy-duty kind of place, filled with the smell of iron and the sound of the foundry. We aren't much for office work, so you'll usually find us out where the actual casting happens. The Industrial Estate is a busy place, and we fit right in with the rest of the workshops around here. Our floors are never perfectly clean, and there’s always a bit of soot in the air, but that’s just the nature of working with molten metal. We take pride in the fact that we do things the old-fashioned way, focusing on the strength of the iron and making sure the molds are set right. It’s a small operation, really just a group of us who have spent years learning how the metal cools and behaves. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. People find us because they need something durable that won't crack under pressure. We just do the work, load the trucks, and start again the next morning. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and the local industry moving. It gets hot in the summer, but we’ve got some good fans.
