Sai Enterprise

If you walk through Laxmi Market in Miraj, you will find Sai Enterprise at Shop No. 14/15. We are inside the Mira Shopping Center, which is a busy place especially on weekends when everyone comes out to buy things. Being near the City Police Station makes it easy for people to find us when they are giving directions. The shop is usually packed with boxes because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for anyone who walks in. It gets a bit cramped when there are more than three customers inside at once. The light isn't the best in the back of the shop, so we use a torch sometimes to find the smaller items. It’s a local business through and through. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often share a tea in the afternoons when things slow down a little. Miraj is a place where people like to talk before they buy anything, so we spend a lot of time just chatting with folks from Sangli and the surrounding areas. The floor is just plain tiles and the sign outside has faded a bit from the sun. We don’t mind. As long as the door opens in the morning and we have what people are looking for, we are happy. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, but it’s what we know.
