S S Food is located at Shop No. 145 in Islampur Village. We are part of the Valva-Islampur Taluka. It’s a small shop in a busy part of the village where everyone seems to know everyone else. We’ve been operating out of this space for quite some time now. It’s mostly a food-related business, focusing on the basics that people in the area need for their daily lives. The shop itself is quite simple. We have shelves lined with goods and a counter where we spend most of our time. In the mornings, it can get a bit hectic when the deliveries arrive. There’s boxes everywhere and we have to move fast to get everything in its place before the first customers show up. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket. We like being a local shop where you can stop and have a chat while you pick up what you need. My brother helps me out, and we have one other person who comes in to help with the heavy lifting. We don't have any big marketing plans or fancy brochures. People know us because we’ve been here forever. We try to keep our prices fair and our products fresh. Sometimes the power goes out in the village, and we just light a few candles and keep going. It’s just how things are done here. We enjoy being a part of this community.
