Kokos

Kokos is a small place located in Islampur, Sangli. You can find us on Takari Road, not too far from the Dayandeep International School. We ended up in this spot because it seemed like a good place for people in this part of town to gather. We don't have a very long history or a big corporate story. We just wanted to open a shop where we could sell some food and drinks. The building is simple and we haven't done much to the outside besides putting up our name. Inside, it’s mostly just tables and chairs that we’ve picked up over time. We handle the daily chores ourselves, from opening the shutters in the morning to locking up at night. The school nearby means we see a lot of parents and kids during the afternoons. It gets a bit noisy then, but we don't mind the energy. We don't use any fancy language to talk about what we do. We just provide a place to sit and something to eat. Sometimes we have to fix a leaky tap or paint a wall, and we usually just do it ourselves. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve made some friends in the neighborhood since we opened on Takari Road. It’s just a basic local spot for anyone passing through Islampur who needs a break. We do our best to keep things running smoothly.
