We have been based at 901, right behind the Jamma Masjid in the Muslim Mohalla area of Tasgaon for quite some time now. It is a busy little corner of the world here in the Sangli district of Maharashtra. Being located so close to the mosque means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which actually provides a nice rhythm to our work hours. The building itself isn't anything to brag about. It is an older structure that has seen its fair share of rain and sun over the years. Our pin code is 416312. Kalpataru Ltd., Pune is the name we use on our official documents, but we are really just a bunch of local guys from the Tal-Tasgaon area. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a receptionist sitting at a desk. You just walk in and find us at our workstations. The heat in this part of Maharashtra can get pretty intense during the summer months, so our fans are always running at full speed. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the paperwork from piling up too high on our desks. It is a simple life here. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just doing our daily tasks and making sure the business stays afloat. Most of our neighbors are shopkeepers or families who have lived in the mohalla for generations. We fit right in with the local crowd.
