Gajanan Green House Raisin Processing Association

Our association works out of Dwarkagreen Park in the Kupwad area, right near Miraj and Sangli. We’re located in Flat 201, which serves as our main point for organizing the raisin processing we do. Using green houses for this kind of work has its own set of rules and routines. It’s a bit different from the traditional ways, and we’re always learning something new about it. This part of Maharashtra is famous for its grapes, so there’s always plenty to do. We don't have a big corporate feel at all. It’s usually just a few of us sitting around a desk, sorting out the logistics of how to get the fruit processed and moved out. We deal with a lot of local farmers and people who have been in this business for generations. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, and the office can feel a little cramped with all the records we have to keep. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just process raisins. It’s a day-to-day grind of checking temperatures, managing schedules, and talking to workers. We like being in this neighborhood because it’s close to the heart of the grape-growing region. It’s not always a smooth process—machinery breaks or shipments get delayed—but we just fix what we can and keep going. That’s just the way things are done around here.
