Aadhar Academy

Aadhar Academy is located at 1930 Guruwar Peth in Sangli. We are right by Shivaji Chowk, which is a very busy and well-known spot. Being in Guruwar Peth means there is a lot of traditional market activity around us. The building is an older style, typical for this part of the city. We have set up our classrooms to be as functional as possible. There are not any fancy glass walls or air conditioning. We use local wooden benches and simple lighting. Most of the people who come here are from the nearby areas of Tasgaon and Sangli. We keep a regular schedule from Monday to Saturday. It is a lot of hard work, just sitting through the lessons and making sure the syllabus moves forward. We do not have a big HR department or a PR person. If you call, you will probably just talk to one of the teachers who happens to be free. The stairs can be a bit dusty because of the construction work nearby, but we sweep them every morning. It is a very honest, local kind of place. We do not make big promises; we just show up and do the teaching. Sometimes we have a small tea break at the chowk. It is a very grounded way of living and working. The noise of the market is just part of our daily background music while we work through the books and talk to the students. (253 words)
