We’ve been here at Unit No. II in the IDA for quite a while now. Most days start pretty early because that’s when the trucks start rolling in near V Phase. We deal with tubings, mostly copper and other alloys, and the place stays pretty loud once the machines get going. If you’re looking for us, we’re located over at Sy Nos. 464 and 482. It isn’t a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a factory floor through and through. Our guys spend most of their shift checking measurements and making sure the metal is right before it goes out. Sometimes the heat in the workshop gets a bit much, especially in the summer months, but we just keep at it. There is always a lot of movement here. We handle a lot of industrial orders, so there are always bundles of tubes stacked up waiting for transport. The yard gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up. People around here know us as the tubing place. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk or brochures. We just focus on the metalwork and making sure the specs match what was asked for. It’s hard work, and by the time evening rolls around, everyone is ready to head home. We’ve seen the IDA change a lot over the years, with new units popping up all the time, but we’re still right here doing what we do.
