About Sumama Brick Industries – Building & Construction Material in Sambhal
Sumama Brick Industries is out in Village Rithali, not too far from Hasanpur Road in the Sambhal district. If you’re driving out that way, you’ll see our kilns and the tall chimney long before you reach us. We’ve been making bricks here for a while, and it’s basically what our whole family does. The ground here is good for clay, which is why we’re settled in this spot. It’s a lot of manual labor, from digging to molding and then the firing process. We don’t use a lot of fancy machinery; it’s mostly just hands and heat. The laborers here live close by, and we all work through the seasons, though the monsoon always slows us down a bit. We keep the bricks stacked high in the yard, waiting for the tractors to come pick them up. Local builders from Sambhal and the nearby villages are our main customers. They just pull up, we talk about the price, and they load their trailers. We don’t have an office in the city or anything like that. Our office is a small room with a fan and a big ledger where we write everything down. It gets dusty, and in the summer, the heat from the kilns is pretty intense. But we’ve grown used to it over the years. We’re just a local brick yard doing things the old-fashioned way. No bells and whistles, just red bricks for people’s houses. We stay busy as long as the sun is out.
