Farmint India Private Limited is up in Sambalpur. Our office is care of Basanta Kumar Swain at Kalyan Nagar, Ainthapali. It is a simple place in the Sadar area. If you know Sambalpur, you know how hot it gets, so we spend a lot of time under the fans in the office. We deal with farm matters all across this part of Orissa. The address at Kalyan Nagar is where the mail comes and where we keep our tools and books. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us making sure things run right. India-768001 is where we are based. Ainthapali is a busy spot with a lot of traffic, but our little corner is relatively calm. We don't have any fancy brochures or big promises. We just look at the crops and the soil and try to make things grow. Basanta has been here for years, so he knows the land better than most. Most days involve checking on the workers and making sure the supplies arrived. We have some tea, talk about the rain, and get the work done. It’s not very exciting to look at, but it’s real work and we take it one day at a time.
