St Paul Senior Secondary School

St Paul Senior Secondary School is over in Birsisngpur Deorhi, out here in Samastipur. It is a place where we have students of all ages, from the little ones starting out to the older teenagers getting ready for their final exams. The atmosphere changes depending on the time of year. During exam season, everyone is very quiet and serious. Other times, the halls are full of chatter and the sound of heavy school bags hitting the floor. We have been part of this community for a long time. The building has seen many groups of students come and go over the years. We do our best to keep the rooms tidy, though the dust from the road always finds its way in. Our teachers live in the nearby villages and walk or bike to work every morning. We do not have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have the basics like blackboards and wooden benches. People around Samastipur know where we are. We do not do much advertising because everyone just knows the school is here. It is a lot of responsibility to look after so many kids, but we just take it one day at a time. We make sure the gates are locked during school hours and that everyone gets home safe when the bell rings at the end of the day. It is a simple life for us here in Samastipur.
