Kissan Engineering Works

Our place, Kissan Engineering Works, is situated on Patiala Road in Nabha. If you are coming down the road, we are right near Preet Agro, which is a big landmark around here. Our registered office is basically where all the noise and activity happens. Being on Patiala Road means we see a lot of tractors and heavy machinery passing by every single day. It is a very busy stretch of road, especially during the harvesting seasons. We have a lot of tools and parts scattered around the workshop because there is always something that needs fixing or welding. The smell of grease and metal is pretty much part of the furniture here. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but it is an engineering shop, so that is to be expected. We have a small area set aside for the paperwork and the phone, but most of the time we are out on the floor getting our hands dirty. The sun beats down on the metal roof during the summer, so it gets pretty hot inside, but we have a couple of big fans that help a bit. People from the surrounding farms often stop by to ask about repairs or just to see how things are going. We have been in Nabha for years and we know the rhythms of the local farming life. It is honest work and we just take it one day at a time, making sure the machines are ready for the field.
