We've been at 6 Valmighi Street in Subramania Nagar for a while now. It's just a small place where we handle textiles. People around here know us as Annam Tex. Usually, the day starts early when we get the stock in. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks, fabric rolls, and some machines running. Most of our work is making sure the orders go out on time. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded, which makes unloading a bit tough, but we manage. We’ve stayed in this neighborhood because it's where we started. My cousin helps out with the accounts and I mostly look at the production side of things. It's not always easy keeping everything organized. Some days are just busy with calls and checking the cloth for any holes or stains. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone comes by looking for something specific, we see what we have on the shelves. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes the fans aren't enough for the heat, but that's how it goes. We just focus on getting the daily tasks done. There's always something to do, whether it's packing or talking to suppliers. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to keep the doors open and do decent work for the people who buy from us. Subramania Nagar is a good spot for us because we know the local tea stall owner and the other shopkeepers around here. It feels like home.
