Sri Annai Apparels

You can find us at No. 52 A Pension Line Main Road. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside our door. Sri Annai Apparels is a small operation, really. We spend our days surrounded by patterns, scissors, and sewing machines. It isn't a high-fashion studio with bright lights; it’s just a regular workshop where we make clothes. The building has been there for years and we’ve made ourselves at home in it. We have a few long tables for cutting and some shelves for the finished stock. Working on Pension Line Main Road means we are right in the middle of things, which is handy for getting supplies. We don't have a professional spokesperson. If you call, you’ll just talk to one of us who is probably holding a measuring tape at the time. Sometimes we get a bit behind when a machine breaks down, but we just fix it and keep going. That’s just part of the life here. We don't try to sound like a big corporation because we aren't one. We are just a group of people who know how to put a garment together. We stick to what we know and try to do a decent job every day. The tea shop next door is where we take our breaks, then it’s back to the needles. It’s a bit messy with threads on the floor, but it’s real work and we enjoy it.
