Slit N Cut Salon & Beauty Bloom

Slit N Cut Salon & Beauty Bloom is a shop I opened in Rajaram Nagar. We are located at number 240 in the Shankar Nagar area of Salem. It is really easy to find us because we are quite close to the Gandhi Stadium. My sister and I run the place together. She takes care of the beauty bloom side of things like facials and threading, while I handle most of the haircuts. We have three chairs and a couple of sinks for washing. It is not a very big place, but it works fine for what we do. Salem gets really hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day long. People from around the neighborhood usually come in on their way home from work. We see a lot of the same faces every week. Sometimes kids come in and they are a bit scared of the scissors, so we have to be slow and patient with them. We just use regular hair products that everyone knows. We do not have a big staff, just us and a couple of girls who help out when it gets busy. It is a modest shop and we do not spend money on fancy signs or decorations. We just keep the floor swept and make sure the mirrors stay clean. The neighbors are nice and we often share tea during the quiet hours. It is a good living for us and we have been here for years.
