Rich Dairy Products (India) Private Limited is located at 65, Thammanan Road in the Arisipalayam area. The work here starts very early in the morning because that is just the way the dairy business is. If you come by at dawn, you’ll see the trucks already lined up and the floor being washed down. It is a lot of stainless steel and the sound of machines running to keep things cold. Thammanan Road is a local stretch where everyone knows everyone else, so we see the same faces every day. We aren't a massive industrial plant with thousands of workers, just a dedicated crew that knows how to handle milk and dairy goods. The smell of the place is quite specific, a mix of cold air and fresh milk, which you get used to after about five minutes. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and making sure the bottles and packets are sealed right. The office is just a small room off to the side with a few old chairs and a computer that gets a lot of use. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a valve or a pump. It’s honest work that keeps us on our feet most of the shift. Arisipalayam is a good neighborhood for us, even if the streets get a bit cramped when the delivery vans are trying to turn around. We just focus on our daily routine and making sure the milk stays fresh for the local shops.
