Raja Ice Cream

We are Raja Ice Cream, and you can find us at 65/7 in Ramakonankipatti. It is right in the Shivaji Nagar area. I have lived around here all my life, and opening this shop seemed like a decent way to stay busy. It is not a huge operation by any means. We just have a few large freezers and a couple of old chairs if someone wants to sit down for a minute. The street gets quite narrow around here, so it is mostly foot traffic from the neighbors. I spend a lot of my day just checking the thermometers to make sure everything is right. You have to be very careful with ice cream in this heat. My neighbor owns the small shop next door, and we usually have tea together in the mornings before the rush starts. It is a decent neighborhood to work in. People around here work very hard, and they like a cold treat now and then. We do not have any flashy signs or bright neon lights. It is just a plain shop with the name painted on the front. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come by with coins they have saved up in their pockets. It makes the long day go by a bit faster for me. Ramakonankipatti is a good place to be. We just try to keep the stock full and the floor swept clean. It is a small business, just like many others on this road. We are not trying to be fancy or anything.
