R. P. Fashions

R. P. Fashions is located at No 12/3 on 3rd Street in Perumal Koil Medu. It’s part of the Seelanaicken Patti area. If you aren't from around here, the streets can feel a bit confusing, but we are right near the old temple landmarks that everyone knows. Our workspace is pretty simple. It’s a ground floor setup where we have the cutting tables and the sewing stations all in one big room. We’ve been in this building for quite a few years now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with orders to worry about that. There’s a constant hum of fans overhead because it gets quite stuffy when we have the heavy irons going. We do a lot of garment work, mostly for local distributors who need things done quickly. The guys who work here have been doing this since they were young. We don’t use any high-tech systems, just the old reliable machines that we know how to fix ourselves if they break. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps during lunch to get some fresh air and watch the street. It’s a tight-knit little area, and everyone knows what the other shops are doing. We don’t have a big marketing department. We just put the clothes in boxes and send them off. It’s steady work, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every week.
