Ice Cafe

We are located at 81, Cuddalore Main Road in Valappadi. It is a busy stretch of road and we see all kinds of people passing through throughout the day. The shop itself is nothing fancy, just a small place where we keep the freezers running and the lights on. I usually get here early to start cleaning up before the sun gets too high in the sky. Valappadi is a warm place, so having something cold available is just a practical thing for the people living around here. We have a few small tables but most folks just grab what they want and keep moving on their journey. The traffic outside can get pretty loud, especially with the buses and trucks shifting gears right out front. We’ve gotten used to the noise over time. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, so we are constantly wiping down the counters and the glass tops. It is just me and one other person working here most of the time. We do not have a big staff or a corporate office. It is just a local business trying to stay open and keep things going. We know the regulars who live in the neighborhood and they stop by to chat for a bit. It makes the day go by faster when you have people to talk to. We just focus on the daily work and making sure everything is in order for the next person who walks in.
