Sweaters India

Our business, which we call Sweaters India, is located right by the Kombampatti Stop in Chettisavadi. It’s not in the middle of a big city, which is something we actually prefer. We focus entirely on making different kinds of knitwear. The knitting machines have a very specific rhythm that we’ve grown used to over the many years we've been here. It’s a small, family-style operation. We have a few local people who have been working with us for a long time. We aren't a massive factory, just a place where we get the actual knitting done. The building itself is very simple. We have a bit of open space outside where the delivery trucks can pull in and park. We mostly deal with raw wool and different types of yarn. During the winter months, the orders keep us busy almost day and night. When it’s summer, we slow down a bit and take time to do maintenance on the machines so they don't break. We don't have a fancy front office or a receptionist. Most of the time, we are just standing right by the machines or checking the finished sweaters for any loose threads. The area around Chettisavadi is actually quite peaceful and quiet. We know all the bus drivers who stop at the Kombampatti station. It’s a very humble setup. We don't do any big advertising or marketing. Most of our work comes from people who have known us since we started. It’s just honest work.
