We’ve been here at Jaya Complex for a while now. Right near the Devi Chit Fund Junction, the area stays busy with traffic noise from the main road all day long. Our shop isn't anything fancy, just a workspace where we handle different electrical parts and power systems. On some days, things get pretty cramped because of all the equipment lying around on the floor. Most of our time goes into troubleshooting stuff that has stopped working properly. Local folks know to look for us when a motor won’t spin or some wiring starts acting up. With the metal roof overhead, the afternoons get really hot, but we just deal with it. Around two o'clock, we usually get tea from that little stall down the street. That’s our daily routine. Big advertisements aren't really our thing. Most people find us through word of mouth or by spotting the sign while they’re stuck in traffic at the junction. It’s a hectic spot to work in. Repairs can sometimes take longer than we’d like if a specific part has to come in from the city. We often stay late to get the jobs finished on time. Wire clippings and grease usually cover the floor by evening. It’s just how a workshop looks when people are actually busy. The hum of the machines and the constant horns outside have just become background noise to us now. It is a simple life and we are happy to keep things running for our neighbors.
