Baba Kapleshwar Nath Bricks

Our place, Baba Kapleshwar Nath Bricks, is out in Village Jagatpur. It's in the Supaul district, specifically the Jagatpur post area. If you live around here, you know the roads can be a bit tricky depending on the season, but we’re usually open for business. It’s a rural setting, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We spend our days managing the clay and the firing process. It’s hard work and the sun can be brutal out here in the fields. Most of our neighbors are farmers or other small business folks. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are. The bricks we make are used for local houses and walls around the tehsil. Sometimes someone from further away in Supaul comes by with a big truck. We just do the work, load the bricks, and call it a day. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we’re used to it. The village is quiet for the most part, except for when the machines are running. We’ve stayed in the same spot for years because it’s where the soil is right for what we do. No fancy signs or big gates here. Just a gate that stays open during the day and plenty of stacks waiting to be moved. It’s simple work for simple people. We just keep the fire going and stay busy.
