Usman Tea Shop

Our shop is in Village Gopali, specifically Word No.4, which is part of the Deoband area. The post office is right here too. We are situated near the Inter College, so we see a lot of students walking back and forth during the day. Usman Tea Shop is a small place, but it stays busy because of where it is. We start boiling the water very early in the morning before the sun is even fully up. The smell of the tea leaves usually fills the air and lets everyone know we are open. It’s a basic setup with a few benches for people to sit down and rest their legs for a bit. The village is quiet most of the time, except when the college lets out. Then it gets really lively for an hour or two. We have a small stove and some big pots that we use all day long. My family helps me out with the cleaning and serving. We don’t have a fancy menu or anything. It’s just good tea and sometimes some snacks if we have them ready. The roof is made of tin, so you can really hear the rain when it pours down in the summer. We enjoy talking to the locals who have lived here as long as we have. It’s a simple life, and we are just happy to have our spot in the village.
