Kashmir Iron Store

You can find us in the Phool Building. If you know the area, it is not too hard to find, though the building itself has seen better days and looks a bit worn out. We spend the bulk of our time moving iron around, which is heavy work and makes your back ache after a few hours of lifting. The shop is full of metal rods, sheets, and various bits that people need for building things. It gets quite dusty in here, and there is always that distinct smell of cold metal in the air no matter the season. We don't really do much in the way of decorating the shop because there is no point with all the heavy iron coming in and out every day. Most of the people who come by are local contractors or guys working on their own small houses. We keep a ledger on the desk to track everything, and it usually has some old coffee stains on the cover. Working at Kashmir Iron Store is a lot of manual labor, but it keeps us busy from morning until we finally close up for the night. The Phool Building has a lot of other small shops too, so there is always some noise or someone shouting across the hallway to a neighbor. We just focus on our own corner and try to keep the stacks of iron from falling over. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for a long time.
