Nitin Steels

Nitin Steels is located right on Dehradun Road, specifically in the Sarak Doodhli area. It is a bit of a dusty spot because of all the trucks passing by all day long. If you come by, you will see stacks of metal and guys moving things around. It is loud and usually quite messy, but that is how a steel business looks. We spend most of our time checking orders and making sure the inventory matches what we have in the yard. My shoes are always covered in grey dust by the time I leave. We do not wear suits here because they would get ruined in five minutes. We just wear whatever is comfortable for moving around. Sometimes the phone rings and we can barely hear it over the sound of metal clanging outside. We do not have a fancy website with stock photos of people smiling. It is just real people doing hard work. The weather gets really hot in the summer and the shed gets like an oven. We drink a lot of cold water and keep going. Customers come in looking for specific sizes and we go find them in the piles. It is straightforward work. We have been at this for some time and we know the regulars who come from the surrounding villages. It is a busy life here on the road and we just keep our heads down and work.
