This location of Fujitsu is a bit different because it’s handled through Mrs. Chitra Goel’s place over in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It’s not a giant factory or a skyscraper. It is a local presence in a town that is more famous for its wood carving than for global tech companies. We handle things on a much smaller, more personal scale here. Most of the work involves keeping track of local requirements and making sure the communication stays open between this part of UP and the bigger offices. Saharanpur is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone, so the pace is a bit different than Delhi or Mumbai. We don’t have a big staff here, just a few people making sure things are running correctly. The office is simple and functional. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking emails, just like anywhere else, but there’s a local touch to it. We aren't here to give you a big sales pitch. We are just here to do our part and make sure the brand has a reliable point of contact in this region. It’s about being present and doing the work without making a big scene about it. Some days are slow and some are quite hectic when there are logistics to sort out, but we just take it one day at a time. We keep our files in order and make sure the phone is always answered during the day, even when it’s one of those really hot afternoons.
