Shivprakash Spare Company

If you come down to Sagar, you can find Shivprakash Spare Company. It’s not a large place, just a shop filled with as many spare parts as we can fit on the shelves. It smells like grease and old metal most of the time, but you get used to that after the first ten minutes. We spend the day helping people find that one specific bolt or gear they need to fix their machine. Most of the time, our hands are a bit dirty from digging through boxes. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here in Sagar when they need something. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains that have been there longer than I have. We have an old desk where we keep the ledger and a pen that only works half the time. It’s a simple way to run a business. We don't do much marketing because the people who need us usually find us through word of mouth. Sometimes it gets really hot in the shop during the summer, so we keep a small fan running in the corner. It doesn't do much, but it’s better than nothing. We stay busy with the locals and the farmers who come in from the surrounding areas. It’s honest work and we like the people who stop by to chat while we look for their parts.
