Hl Bricks

If you are driving down Bhopal Road near the Moti Nagar Thana you will see our place. We go by Hl Bricks. It’s just a regular yard in Rajiv Nagar Ward. We’ve been here for a good bit of time now. The police station is right there so it’s a safe enough spot for us. It gets busy on this road with all the traffic coming through. We mostly just keep to ourselves and focus on the inventory. Making bricks is heavy work. My back usually aches by Friday but you get used to it after a few years. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. If you want to talk to us you just walk into the yard and find one of us near the stacks. We try to keep the place tidy but with all the mud and dust it’s a losing battle most days. We see all kinds of people coming through Rajiv Nagar. Some are building small sheds and others are doing bigger projects. It doesn't matter much to us. We just give them what they need. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon. We usually take a break then and sit in the shade of the office. It’s not much of an office really. Just a room with a desk and some old chairs and a fan that barely works.
