People know us here in Damoh on the Hatta road. We’ve been sitting in this same spot for a long time now. It’s a bit dusty because of the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is in this part of Madhya Pradesh. We mostly spend our days looking at screens or opening up CPU cabinets to see why they stopped working. It isn't anything fancy. Sometimes the electricity goes off and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. We handle a lot of different things, like fixing monitors or helping someone pick out a printer that won't jam every five minutes. Most people who come in are neighbors or folks from nearby villages who need their systems cleaned up. It gets pretty loud during the day with all the bikes going past the shop. My desk is usually covered in screws and loose wires, and sometimes I can't find the screwdriver I just had in my hand. We keep some parts in the back, mostly keyboards and cables that people always seem to lose or break. It’s just me and a couple of others here. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It is just a workspace where we try to get things running again so people can go back to their work. Sometimes the rain makes the roof leak a little near the front door, so we have to move the boxes. That’s about it for us really.
