Larsen & Toubro Limited

Our office is in Himatnagar, Gujarat, and the address is listed as Engineer (Mechanical Himatnagar Gujarat 383001 India. It’s a more rural setting compared to the big cities, but Larsen & Toubro Limited still has plenty to do out here. The office is a bit of a mix of things. We have a workshop area and then some desks for the mechanical engineers to do their drawings and calculations. It’s not a very clean or polished place. There is usually grease on some of the tables and the smell of machinery in the air. That’s just how we like it because it means we are actually building things. Most of the staff are locals who have been around machinery their whole lives. We don't use fancy jargon when we talk to each other. If something is broken, we say it’s broken and we fix it. The building itself is sturdy and keeps the rain out, which is all we really ask for. We have a lot of heavy equipment coming in and out, so the yard is always busy. It’s a practical environment for practical people. We don't have any interest in being corporate. We just want to make sure the mechanical side of the projects is running smoothly and that the machines are working like they should. We spend our days looking at blueprints and checking the wear and tear on the gear. It's a simple life out here.
