The shops at Sfd-21, 22, and 23 in New Durga Bazar are where we spend most of our daylight hours. Being in the middle of a market area like this means there is always someone shouting or a truck trying to reverse into a narrow spot. At Icon Freshtop Pvt. Ltd., we have taken up three units just to keep everything organized, though it still feels a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives. The walls are mostly stacked with boxes and we spend a lot of time counting stock and making sure the labels are straight. It is not the kind of place you see in a magazine. We have an old ceiling fan that wobbles a bit and the floor is concrete that has seen better days. Usually, the morning starts with checking the inventory and seeing what needs to go out to the retailers. Sometimes the traffic in the bazar makes it hard for the delivery vans to get close, so we end up carrying things further than we would like. The staff here mostly lives nearby and we all know the tea seller at the corner pretty well by now. We do not spend much time on fancy talk or meetings. We just make sure the orders are packed and that nobody gets the numbers wrong. It is just a regular business day for us in a busy part of town.
