About Radhe Seeds – Agriculture & Farming in Sabarkantha
Radhe Seeds is located at K - 1/21 in the Gidc area of Idar. It’s a busy industrial zone, so there are always tractors and trucks moving around. We deal with seeds for the farmers around here. It’s a seasonal job mostly. When the planting season starts, it gets really hectic and we barely have time to sit down. The rest of the year is spent sorting, packing, and making sure the storage stays dry. Dampness is the main enemy when you’re keeping seeds. The unit is basic, with shelves and some cooling equipment for the delicate stuff. Idar can get very hot, so we have to be careful with how we store everything. We’ve got a small staff from the nearby villages. They know their way around the different varieties we keep. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or marketing people. Most of the farmers just show up at the gate and tell us what they need for their acreage. We write it down, weigh it out, and that’s that. It’s a simple cycle that follows the rain and the sun. We’ve been in this Gidc spot for a while, and everyone nearby knows the Radhe sign. It’s a bit worn out now, but it does the job of showing where we are. Our office is just a simple room with a few chairs and a lot of seed samples on the shelves. We spend our time checking the quality and making sure the bags are sealed right before they go out the door.
