Dodiya Steel Traders

Our place, Dodiya Steel Traders, is located in Savgadh Village. We are within the Himatnagar Taluka, not too far from the post office. If you find Dodiya Furniture, we are right across from them. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the city, but we stay busy with the steel trade. Steel is heavy and hard to move, so we spend a lot of time with the crane or just using our own strength to get things organized. The yard is full of rods, beams, and various pieces of metal. It gets very hot in the sun, especially when you are surrounded by all that steel. I started this because I wanted to work for myself and saw that people in the village needed construction materials. We don't have a big team, just a few local guys who help with the heavy lifting. My office is a small room at the front where I keep the books and take phone calls. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, like when it rains and the ground gets muddy, but we manage to keep the deliveries going. People from the surrounding villages come to us because they know we are local. We don't have any big advertisements. We just rely on being known in the community. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We’ve been here for a good while and plan to stay.
