Devku Nursery

If you drive down National Highway-8 near Prantij, you’ll see us at the Jesingpura Patiya. We are very close to the police station, which makes it easy to give directions. We’ve got a lot of plants and trees growing here. The nursery is basically our whole life. We spend the whole day watering, pruning, and moving pots around. It’s a lot of work under the sun, and by the end of the day, we are usually covered in mud. People stop by while they are traveling on the highway. Maybe they want a rose bush for their garden or some fruit trees for their farm. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just rows and rows of green. Sometimes the wind blows quite hard and we have to run around making sure the small saplings don't tip over. We’ve been here for years, and the trees we planted when we first started are now quite tall. It’s nice to see things grow like that. My kids help out during their school holidays, though they mostly just like playing with the water hose. We don't do any big advertising. People just see the greenery from the road and pull over. It’s a peaceful way to spend the day, even if it’s hard on the back. We just like being outdoors and working with our hands in the soil.
