Channa Rice Mills

Channa Rice Mills is situated at No.1125/E on Toohi Road, right near the Shiv Mandir in Himmat Nagar. Having the temple nearby is a nice landmark for us. Our mill is a place where we take the raw paddy and turn it into the rice you see in the shops. It’s a straightforward process, but it takes a lot of attention to get it right. We aren’t a huge corporation with fancy labels. We are just a local mill serving the community and the surrounding areas. The building is old but sturdy. We have the usual noise of the conveyors and the hullers going all day long. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it’s too humid for the drying process, but we manage. We’ve got a small crew of workers who live nearby. We all just show up, do our jobs, and go home. There isn’t any corporate talk here. We talk about the weather, the crop quality, and the news in Himmat Nagar. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the loading docks. We don’t have a big reception area, so you might have to shout a bit over the machinery to get someone’s attention. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for years and plan to stay that way. The rhythm of the mill is just part of our lives now.
