We have been here in Phase 2 for a while now, right near the Bassi Theatre. Most days you’ll find us unloading the trucks or checking the fabric for the tents. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is out in Mohali, but we just get on with it. Sometimes the traffic around the theater gets a bit much, but we managed to keep the shop running at Sco-70. We spend a lot of time cleaning out the big catering pots and making sure the poles are sturdy. It isn’t fancy work. Mostly, it’s just making sure there is enough seating for everyone and that the food stays warm during the function. People stop by to ask about dates, and we usually just sit down and write things in the ledger. We don’t have a big office or anything, just the space here in SAS Nagar. Some mornings are busy with the vegetable delivery coming in early. We check the onions and potatoes ourselves. It’s just how we do things. If you walk past the theater, you’ll likely see our guys loading up the van for a weekend job. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We stay busy enough with the local stuff. It is mostly about getting the tents up straight and making sure the tea is ready on time. We don't do much talking, mostly just heavy lifting and cooking. We have been doing this for years and it suits us just fine. Every day is different and we just keep on going.
