Our shop is number 30 in Phase-1, right in the middle of everything in Mohali Sas Nagar. If you look for us near the Chandigarh border, you will see the piles of folded fabric and the long metal poles leaning against the wall. It is a bit of a crowded space because tents take up so much room. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading the old yellow truck. The traffic in Phase-1 can be a real headache in the afternoons but we manage to get the gear out. Dealing with the wind and the rain is the hardest part of this job. You never know when a storm might blow through and mess up a setup. We have seen a lot of changes in the local market over the years. Some days we just sit in the shop and drink tea while waiting for someone to stop by. It is not a glamorous business but people always need a roof over their heads for their functions. We know the streets around here like the back of our hands. Punjab Tent Services has been at this address for quite a while now. We do not have a big fancy showroom, just the shop where we keep all the bamboo and the waterproof sheets. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough. We try to keep the stuff clean but the dust in Mohali is constant and keeping everything perfect is nearly impossible.
