T L K Institute

Our place is tucked away at House Number 636 A/29 in Tilak Nagar, not too far from the Weltgest School and the Model Town area of Rohtak. Since we’re in a residential neighborhood, it feels much quieter than the main roads, which is nice for teaching and studying. T L K Institute is basically run out of this house, so it has a very homey and informal atmosphere. We have converted some of the larger rooms into study areas with desks and chairs we’ve picked up over time. It isn't always perfectly tidy, especially when we have several batches of students coming through in one afternoon. You’ll usually see bicycles parked out front along the wall because most of the kids live nearby. We don’t have a big reception desk or a lobby, so people just kind of walk in and find whoever they need to talk to. Near the school, there’s always a bit of a buzz in the mornings, but by the time our afternoon classes start, the street settles down quite a bit. We’ve got some basic charts on the walls to help with the lessons, and the windows let in a good amount of light during the day. It’s a simple operation where we just focus on getting through the school work and making sure everyone understands their notes before they go home. We’ve stayed in this part of Rohtak because it’s easy for the local kids to walk over after their regular school hours are finished for the day.
