Hind Education Society

Our place is at No. 670-A in Kailash Colony, which is pretty easy to find if you know where the New Bus Stand is. We are located in the lane known as Jail Road Wali Gali. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze for cars sometimes, but there is plenty of foot traffic. Hind Education Society has been in this building for a while now. The rooms are basic, just desks and chairs and some whiteboards. Since we are so close to the bus stand, we hear the horns and the engines all day long, but you get used to it after a week or two. The building itself is older, with the kind of thick walls that stay cool in the summer. We have a small area out front where people park their cycles. Most of the folks who come here are from the nearby neighborhoods or students who just hopped off a bus. We keep things pretty informal. There isn't a big reception desk or anything like that. Usually, someone is just sitting in the main office near the entrance ready to talk. We drink a lot of tea while going through the paperwork. It’s a busy street but once you get inside the gate, it’s a bit quieter. We just try to keep the place organized so the classes can happen without too much fuss. There is an old clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly when it is quiet.
