About Architect Satyakam Garg – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Rohtak
I run my practice out of Sector-9A. It’s a pretty simple setup under my own name, Architect Satyakam Garg. I’ve always preferred working this way, keeping things direct and personal. The office is just a room filled with books on architecture and stacks of old drawings that I can't bring myself to throw away. Sector-9A is a decent area, and it's quiet enough for me to think. I don't have a big staff or a receptionist. If the phone rings, I usually pick it up myself. Most of my day is spent at the drafting table or out at a construction site checking on things. Architecture is a slow process, and I don't try to rush it. I’ve been doing this for a while now, so I have a routine that works. I don't go for the flashy stuff you see in magazines. I just want to make sure the buildings are sturdy and the space is used well. People come to me when they want someone who will actually listen to what they need. It’s a lot of back-and-forth, making changes to sketches until they are right. I drink a lot of black coffee and sometimes lose track of time when I’m working on a plan. It’s not a big corporate firm with meetings every hour. It’s just me in Sector-9A, trying to do good work for the people who hire me to design their spaces.
