You will find us on Kacha Beri Road. The road itself is unpaved and can be quite a struggle for smaller cars, but it’s where we’ve always been. We operate out of a large shed that has seen better days. The roof leaks a little when the monsoon hits hard, but we’ve patched it up as best as we can. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of heavy machinery and people shouting over the noise to get things done. We deal with industrial materials and it’s a dirty job. Our hands are usually covered in grease or dust by noon. We don’t have a front office with air conditioning or a fancy waiting area. If someone comes to see us, they usually just walk right into the workspace. It’s a family-run thing and we’ve been working this way for decades. We don’t believe in having long meetings or complicated plans. We just look at the orders for the day and get to work. Lunch is usually eaten together on some wooden crates in the corner. It’s a rough environment but we are used to it. The Kacha Beri Road area is mostly industrial, so we have plenty of neighbors doing similar work. We keep to ourselves mostly and focus on making sure the products are ready on time. It’s a hard way to make a living but it’s what we know best and we keep at it.
