The institute is situated on the Gram Mansa Devi By Pass Road. It’s a bit out of the way, which actually makes it a decent place for people to come and focus. We have a few rooms set up with computers where people come to learn the basics or brush up on their skills. Softpoint Institute Of Computer Education isn't one of those massive tech campuses you see in the movies. It’s a simple setup with rows of desks and some whiteboards that have seen better days. We deal with all sorts of people, from young kids to older folks who just want to know how to use the internet. The bypass road can be busy with trucks, so there is usually a bit of a hum from the engines outside. We try to keep the computers running well, though some of the keyboards have letters worn off from so much use. We don't have a fancy enrollment process; people usually just walk in and ask what classes we are running that week. There’s a small area where we keep a kettle for tea during the breaks. We spend a lot of time explaining things and showing people where to click. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we don't mind. The building gets a bit cold in the winter, so everyone usually keeps their jackets on while they are typing. It’s a practical place for learning without any unnecessary bells and whistles.
